Louis Vuitton introduce Made to Order Men's Shoe Service

Louis Vuitton, renowned for their show stopping catwalk shows which have involved custom built steam trains and live working carousels, have taken another finely shoed step forward in their heritage story by introducing a new service: a made to order men's shoe service that lets you create your own, utterly personal pair of shoes.
The customer chooses the shape, the material, the finish, everything to invent the shoe that corresponds precisely to one's personal tastes and desires. There are three thousand possible combinations for the ultimate in luxury from Vuitton.
Shoemaking is a master craft requiring techniques that the Maison has brought to its Venetian workshop, the cradle of this savoir-faire since the 13th century. There, the most seasoned craftsmen labour to create this inimitable footwear.

Exceptional materials from the soft leather to crocodile skin, the wooden last whether pointed or square with the made to order toe, instep and height, the cut according to the patina of the material and a LV twist - three perforation options: on a notched strip around the ankle, juxtaposed in piqué-retourné, or displayed on the back of the shoe, in the shape of flower.
Then apply the ultimate personal touch - two or three stamped initials or a number according to the client's wishes, are hidden inside the shoe for discreet elegance. Of course, there are additional options available, such as coordinating belts available in the leathers, colours and finishes that match those of the shoes, all made with the same Louis Vuitton savoir-faire.
The Louis Vuitton Made To Order Men’s Shoe Service will be available at the Louis Vuitton New Bond Street store from late June/early July 2012.

  1. Great advice! Especially when it comes to silhouette.
I notice in quite a few (so-called well dressed people) the lines of the apparel are not in harmony with the shape of the shoe.
