Le dog du jour for fashion is undoubtedly the pug, from Brix Smith Smart and her three to Mulberry's array of doggy fashion accoutrements for such pampered pooches.
Now, fashion site LuisaViaRoma.com is getting in on the act for a good cause (in this case UNICEF) by teaming up with famous German teddy bear makers Steiff (often a collectors item) to make twenty, one of a kind 'Pug Dogs For Happy Kids' each customised by an international fashion designer.
You can choose from Mary Katranzou pug in her colourful bling to Valentino's (another famous pug owner) red studded chain. Etro pug has a decadent scarf as his outfit while Balmain in bedecked in ornate gold and silver.
With other names such as Worth couture. Viktor & Rolf, Mugler, Roberto Cavalli and David Koma also in the frame, these pug cuties are sure to raise lots of cash for a worthy charity (UNICEF's Project ARISE).
The pugs are on auction from 19th March to 6th May 2012.
